Tags, Banners or Me?
Wait! Not me. Noooooo. T might not like that–and I really doubt any one of you would actually take me up on it, so I think I’ll withdraw the offer. I’d like to protect the fragile ego just a little bit longer, thank you.
However, you do get to choose from gift tags or a blog or shop banner design! See, that’s not such a bad deal, is it? Especially for the cost of one comment.
On with the show: Normally, I’m one of those idiots who forgets to actually use a gift tag, so I end up writing the recipient’s name on the gift in black Sharpie and, shame-faced, hide it at the back of the heap ‘o presents.
I do, however, admire them greatly when I see them on other people’s gifts. I often wonder where they might get such a thing, but since there is nothing but a stinking Walmart in this town, I’m not likely to encounter one in the wild. Thank God Etsy came along.
At Etsy, I’ve been admiring gift tags from afar. I’ve even thought about buying a few. Then The Paper Incident (as T, my live-in accountant, calls it) happened. A client asked for a special kind of paper, I searched near and far and came back with several very pretty, heavy papers that just didn’t work as well for photographic representations as I might like.
Too bad I didn’t know that when I whipped out my credit card.
Thankfully, there’s a silver lining to it all. From that very beautiful, heavy paper come these little babies. Each contains one of the five verses of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. I bet you didn’t even know it had five verses! They’ll be in my Etsy shop later this week.
I also got a new paper punch today, so I was playing around with it and some paper I have sitting on my desk. So, the first option is all eleven gift tags–and by the time you get them, they’ll be punched and tied with string. Even if I have to run to the scrapbook store for a replacement of the small circle punch I can’t seem to find around here.
Option two is simple: A blog header or Etsy shop banner design. We talk, I design, and you slap it up on your page. Simple as that. (Well, for you. It’s a little more complicated on this end :)

It’s a tough decision, but I’d say the gift tags because I’m like you with gifts…I can never find a tag when wrapping. I might also use these little pretties for labeling some boxes at home. They are just too cute!
