J is getting to be a big(ger) boy lately. As the shot for today gives evidence, his highchair has been taken out of the spot its graced for over a year now and a small booster seat has taken its place. There’s a potty chair in the bathroom and even a stool J carries around to use to see out those higher windows.
He’s even taken to deciding when it’s “na-night” time and walking to the door of his bedroom, waiting to be tucked in. Last night, that was at a sensible 6:30 p.m. Tonight he missed his afternoon nap, so it was an even more sensible 5:15 p.m.
No lie. I’m completely serious.
Anyway, he’s becoming quite the little man. THAT’s why this is the best shot of the week–my little man is growing up just a little. Now, if we could actually get him to use that potty.

he does look very grown up :). love that he puts himself to bed — hope it’s not a phase he grows out of :).

Hey, one step at a time, mama. I’m thinking that practically putting himself to bed is something to relish for awhile and quite and accomplishment.

He has, truly, the most beautiful face. What a little handsome man:) And I love that he knows when he wants to go to bed! Some nights I’ll try to rock Lily and she’ll literally throw herself toward her crib. She loves to sleep:)

Wow! 6:30?? 5:15?? I can only dream of that in the this house. It’s 7:30 sharp with no nap. Bummer for me!
J is a doll, Harrison likes to eat breakfast and lunch it his table but he still uses the highchair for dinner.

Another great shot.
And wow, Seamonkey is so not ready for a booster seat or the potty! Great work mom, guess I better get on the ball - although he does come over to us and say “poooooooo” when he’s got a load in his pants - it’s progress, right?
