Winter Dreams (Not Quite of the Fitzgerald variety)

I don’t know.

I think I might be suffering from a horrible case of cabin fever.  That’s when us stupid people who live in places that should only be inhabited by penguins most of the year start feeling our skin crawl the moment we start thinking about how long it is until spring–and usually, that thought comes to us the moment we wake up every morning.

I’ve fallen off the Photo 365 bandwagon and will need to restart, but it seems that I’ve been paralyzed with want for a new camera (Canon’s coming out with their next Digi Rebel in April) and a few new lenses.  Well, four new lenses.  I’ve already mentioned the normal ones, but I’m also salivating over a tilt-shift lens that’s not a Lensbaby and a fisheye lens.  Both are completely impractical, but that doesn’t seem to matter as I’m growing battier and battier every passing day.

Oh, and weather update:  We’re in the middle of a snowstorm.  Again.

I’ve also been wiping the drool off my screen after every time I’ve gone to the Tracy Joy site to gaze at the pretty camera bags.  Not that they’re actually open for business right now, but it’s nice to dream, isn’t it?   Personally, I daydream of one of those bags holding some of the above gear slung over my shoulder while I–uncharacteristically thin, gorgeous and fashionable–am showered with money to take photos of sweet kids who have wonderfully nice parents who think I am the best thing since sliced bread.  And I love them, too–after all, it’s great to live in the rosy haze of my daydreams.

Not to brag (hee hee) but I just got my Tracy Joy bag. I got in under the wire. It’s so purdy. And I just had that dream. I was awaken by my little one who now says she has an earache.
